| Welcome to the website for Mississippi Boston Terrier Rescue. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all volunteer organization whose mission is to rescue Boston Terriers that have been abused, abandoned and neglected and restore their physical and emotional well being so that they may be placed in new, loving, nurturing, life-long homes. We also accept Boston Terriers in cases of voluntary relinquishment when owners find themselves in circumstances where they can no longer care for their dogs. Each dog is treated with tender love and care until such time as a suitable home, which will be screened and approved by the membership, can be located. MBTR volunteers do not receive pay for their services and all money raised from fund-raisers, donations, and adoptions goes directly to benefit other rescued Bostons. We serve the state of Mississippi as well as parts of neighboring states (Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee and Arkansas). Please remember, if you are approved to adopt you must pick up your dog in person and family members and current pets will need to meet the dog before adoption papers are signed in order to get an idea of how the new dog will adjust to his/her new family. No dog is adopted "sight unseen" and then shipped to the adopter. We do not ship our dogs unaccompanied in cargo via the airlines or via paid, mass transport services under ANY circumstances. When they are adopted, they will go home with their new owners and only their new owners. There are no exceptions to this policy so please don't even ask about shipping a Boston.
