| Sadie is a playful, yet quiet and refined young lady. She came to rescue with her brother Titan (who will be listed after he is neutered) and the owner wanted them to stay together. However, after arriving in rescue we have noticed that they really don't pay much attention to each other. Titan would rather play rough and tumble with the boys and Sadie is happiest with a leisurely stroll and investigation on the back yard. She also enjoys playing with toys with her girlfriends but isn't as "passionate" about it as her brother. We also noticed that her brother, while not outright agressive, sometimes bullies her, eats her food, and steals her toys. She just sits back and lets it happen and looks longingly for someone to help her. If these two are adopted together it will HAVE to be to someone who is home often and can supervise the two so that Sadie isn't bullied. Sadie came to us, along with her brother Titan, as an owner release. These were loved and well cared for Bostons but their owner found herself in circumstances in which she could no longer properly care for them. It was a hard decision for her but she made the loving decision to allow MBTR to find them new homes that could provide the time and attetion they needed. Pilots N Paws flew Sadie and her brother down from north MS to south MS (you can see their photos on our PilotsNPaws page). This sweet, loving girl is looking for a calm and quiet home to call her own. Sadie is a gentle, but playful, young lady who just wants a family to love and that will love her back. She is happiest when she is near her people. We think she'd be a wonderful office dog as well if your workplace is dog friendly. She knows how to sit down and behave herself while indoors but like most young Bostons, she also enjoys some active playtime. An owner who likes to throw a few toys would be right up her alley. Sadie likes a quiet and calm environment. She won't be placed in a home with loud children or where there are other dominant, bossy dogs. We do think she would enjoy a canine companion with a similar personality. She would do best in a home without children or either older, calm, well-behaved children who have been taught how to respect and care for a dog. Sadie would love to be part of a family that will include her in their daily lives. She'd love to go to work, daily walks, or take along on family vacations. Sadie loves to ride in the car so she'd be the perfect companion for running errands around town or either a buddy to take along on a road trip. Sadie is still working on her house training but she has a good understanding of the concept. So if you are not willing or do not have time to finish up her house training, then she is not the dog for you. She will go in her crate and is well behaved and quiet in it but she doesn't like it. Sadie needs a home that will committ to the house training, use the crate for training if necessary, and then be done with the thing! She would do best if she had access to a yard where she could go potty or either with someone who could provide frequent potty breaks. Long hours in a crate while you are away at work is no life for a Boston....or any other dog for that manner. Do you have a quiet, peaceful home with the willingness to love a Boston beauty who only wants to love you back. Are you looking for a companion who you can include in your activities and daily life? Then Sadie just could be the dog for you! Please fill out an application and mention Sadie's name if she sounds like just the girl you've been looking for. |
