How Buddy Came to MBTR:
Buddy was found as a stray and taken to the Okefenokee, Georgia
shelter. He tested positive for heartworms and needed a rescue to take
him and provide him not only the veterinary care to get his heartworms
treated, but also give him the extra time he needed to recover. Shelters
are usually short on space and therefore time is limited for each animal.
Pilots N Paws flew "Buddy" and his friend "Little Mama" to MBTR. We
usually only take full blooded Bostons but we were told that this little guy
was a Boston mix. We don't know how much Boston he actually has in
him, but he is so cute and we were glad to lend him a paw in his time of
need. If you'd like to see Buddy's private plane he flew down to MS on
and read more about this wonderful organization, please go to this page

Additional information:
Buddy is a really cute, small little mixed breed guy that reminds many of
us of the kind of dog we had when we were children....just a good, old,
everyday dog that can follow us around and be our "Buddy". Buddy
would be a really good little companion for someone who had time to
spend with him and give him a little bit of attention. It seems that he
hasn't had anyone who has been very good to him in the past and he
yearns for affection and attention. He's an active little dog and would be
fun to take along on outdoor adventures like camping, walking, hiking,
etc. He has the youthful energy to keep up the an active owner but he
isn't a wild, overly hyper guy. Though he can act a bit shy sometimes, he
has never tried to bite or snap out of fear. He is totally submissive to
people and is fine playing with my 14 y/o nephew. He can be a little
dominant around other male dogs if they are bossy towards him. If he is
properly introduced and socialized with other dogs, he does fine with
them. If you'd like for this little guy to be your best "Buddy", then fill out
an Adoption Application and mention his name.
