Because of logistical reasons, we only adopt our Bostons to applicants in the
state of Mississippi, neighboring states (Louisiana, Alabama, Tennessee, and
Arkansas) and the Florida panhandle. If you live outside the immediate area, it
is your responsibility to pick up your new dog. You either must travel via
automobile or if you choose to fly, the Boston MUST TRAVEL IN CABIN with
you. We will not ship a dog unattended in a crate via the airlines as many
breeders do....PERIOD! We will ask to see a ticket proving that you have made
'in cabin' reservations for your Boston. Your pet must be small enough to fit in
a travel crate (soft crate recommended) under the seat in front of you. Some
larger Bostons may not be candidates for flying due to their size. Neither will we
ship our dogs via paid, mass transportation services. In short, if your dog must
travel to his new home, he/she must travel with you. No third party
transportation will be used. This is strictly to ensure the safety of the dog. We
are always happy to meet you part of the way whenever we can but the ultimate
responsibility of collecting the Boston lies with the new owners. If you have any
questions regarding transportation, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will
be happy to answer all your questions for you.

Someone has submitted an application/applications for the dog. The application is
being revieweded but has not yet been completed/approved. Dog is technically still
available for adoption and you may still apply for the dog. If the prior
application/applications is not approved, we will then go to the next in line.
Applications are opened as they are received but the dog will only be placed with an
approved applicant even if it was not the first received. We will go down the line in
the order apps. were received until one meets adoption requirements and is
approved to be a good match. If the first applicant does not meet adoption
requirements, the next application will then be considered.

An Application has been submitted and approved. An agreed upon date has been
set for the applicant to officially adopt the dog. Should the applicant default or
decide against adoption, the dog will again become available for adoption.

Dog does not presently have an open application and is available
for adoption.

Dog has been officially adopted by an approved applicant and is no longer
available.

You may offer dogs nothing but a cold floor to sleep upon. And they will stay.
You can leave dogs unfed, unwatered, and unwashed. And they will stay.
You can make mistakes while demanding perfection from a dog. And they will stay.
You can shout at them, cuff their ears with curses, and deny them affection. And they will stay.
You can beat them with sticks and break their bodies with stones and boots. And they will stay.
A dog will stay and stay until your chest bursts open and the devil himself jumps out.

And only then, believing in his heart that he somehow wronged you, let you down, failed the
family, and thus brought this vengeful battering upon his own head, only then will he slowly and
reluctantly limp away.

The next time you see a stray dog in the street or in a shelter, just stop and think about what it
took to drive him away from his home.

All dogs are fostered in volunteer's homes in the state of MS unless
otherwise noted. Dogs who are fostered in our FL or LA foster homes
are noted below their photos. If you are considering logistics, this info.
will be useful for you to make note of.
